French, second half of the 17th century.
Measures 2.9 x 2.4cm.
Weighs 2.5 grams.
The slide is decorated in polychrome enamels, the front with Mars and Venus embracing, beneath is the French inscription ‘Amour Mutuel’ which translates as ‘Mutual Love’. The reverse of the slide is decorated in bright turquoise enamel. One of the slides loops is stamped with a French ‘ET’ duty mark. In fine condition with minor retouching to the enamel.
